Malek Designers & Consultants, is an independent consulting firm practicing exclusively in the field of commercial facilities’ planning, that includes concept and back of the house architectural planning and requirements, foodservice and laundry facilities’ planning as well as detailed equipment specifications. The firm has two main offices. One is located in New York, USA and the other is located in Cairo, Egypt. The owner of the firm is the first to become a Professional FCSI Consultant in Egypt and the Middle East. (FCSI – Foodservice Consultants Society International and it’s the only such consulting society in the world). Malek Designers & Consultants – also known as Malek Associates - is considered the most experienced foodservice designing and consulting firm in Egypt and the Middle East.

Malek Designers & Consultants, is experienced in creating unique and innovative food service brands based on each client’s specific requirements and also the market demand. In order to assure efficient approach in our projects in terms of initial cost, construction time and space utilization, we prepare detailed report on how the concept shall be conceived and the criteria for operation/function among all trades.

For over 35 years, Malek Designers & Consultants has been working with architects and owners to assist them with the planning of their Hotels, Hospitals, Schools, Universities, Restaurants, Bars and various foodservice facilities. We provide a full range of services including the development of foodservice concepts, space planning, design development, preparation of drawings, details and specification for soliciting and inspection of the finished installation.

Our talented professionals have the access, expertise and education to the latest technology to make the best selection from the vast array of available equipment and create a layout that is a functional and high performance foodservice facility.

Architectural and Kitchen back of house and front of house planning can be developed on any scope necessary, whether to create an entirely new facility or integrate new equipment into an existing operation. Once a plan is in place, we specify all equipment and offer you the opportunity to try them out in our test kitchen before committing to their purchase. Through project management, phases of construction and installation of equipment are overseen and coordinated, to deliver a turnkey kitchen development service.

Malek Designers & Consultants utilizes state-of- the-art computer-aided- design systems to develop working drawings such as detailed equipment layouts and schedules, elevations, and plumbing and electrical rough-in plans. Bulk food preparation, storage, labor saving, waste reduction goals and most importantly, proper “flow” are all given due consideration. Specification books of selected equipment are also provided. Equipment selection is based upon achieving value and choosing the best piece if equipment within the appropriate price range for our client.

Malek Designers & Consultants is an independent design consultant firm and as such have no ties to any manufacturer or dealer, nor are we involved in the sale of equipment. We offer unbiased designs that meet your operational methods and budget concerns. Our philosophy is oriented to a team approach and we believe in working closely with the client, architects, engineers and interior designers.
